When the worst is true

It was pretty sad to read yesterday that the missing Baltimore girl Phylicia Barnes was found dead in the Susquehanna River. She disappeared four months ago. From what I’ve read so far, police are facing challenges on putting the case together. They did discover a second body- a male- in the same location as Barnes.

Barnes was not from Baltimore but up visiting her half sister. I don’t know why this story gets to me. I think this way because people walk around everyday thinking the worst won’t happen to them, but you never know. When I did the story about Kenneth Hager going missing, I wondered why someone would want to abduct him.

Nearly 65 years later, the family remains a little broken, not knowing the whereabouts of their brother. Still time moves them on. I only hope answers come in the wake of Phylicia Barnes story and that the family learns to truth as to what happened.
